HOW WE CAME TO BE…

James Pitter had worked in the insurance industry all the way to the position of Deputy CFO of a £250m turnover business. During this time, one of his good friends had just set up an asset finance company and wanted an accountant to assist with the company finances; James duly obliged. The company did so well that James was invited to syndicate some deals.
James made some cash…
It was then that James realised that he could grab a bigger piece of the action as there were few independent companies offering such services and so, with his friend’s full blessing, he formed Agincourt 1415 in December 2007.

James still does the accounts for the friend!

WHY THE NAME AGINCOURT 1415?

In his early twenties, James was a great fan of a role playing game called Medieval Total War, where his weapon of choice was the longbow.
Inspired by the English victory over the French king’s army on 25th October 1415, England’s most famous longbow victory, it made perfect sense to James that he should name his business after it as a fitting tribute to his pre marital life and one of England’s most famous military victory!
